How we calculate the real cost

Where the fees come from

We take fees only from the school's own website or from a fee schedule published on the school's domain. We do not copy fees from other directories. Each fee row keeps the amount exactly as the school publishes it — per year, per term or per month — together with the academic year, the link to the page and the date we checked it.

If a school does not publish its fees online, the profile says Fees on request and offers a button to ask the school. We never fill the gap with an estimate.

The real annual cost

A headline fee is rarely what a family pays. When a school publishes enough detail, we add:

  1. Tuition for the year group;
  2. Annual extras the school lists separately — meals, transport, uniform and materials, exam fees, compulsory trips;
  3. One-off fees — enrolment, registration, capital levies and non-refundable deposits — spread over the remaining years of schooling.

We show the real annual cost only when the tuition and at least two other items are known; otherwise we show the tuition alone. The result is clearly labelled as a model calculated by Scholaria, not a figure from the school. Refundable deposits are not included.
